What we measure, why, and how to turn it off.

[01]What we measure

We count visits and a few actions (a search, a store follow, a tap on a store's menu) so we can see which pages and tools are useful and fix what is broken. We use three tools:

  • Google Analytics 4. Page views and the actions above, with IP anonymization. We turn off Google signals and ad personalization. It sets first-party cookies to tell visits apart.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cookie-free page view and performance counts.
  • Our own anonymous events. A random ID stored in your browser (not linked to you), the page, and the action. No cookies, no IP address and no user agent are stored.

We never send your location coordinates. On the New York check-a-store tool, only whether a store matched is recorded, never what you typed.

[02]No ads, no selling

GLASS runs no ads and does not sell or share your data for advertising. Nobody pays to be here and nobody pays to rank. Followed stores and saved searches live only in your browser.

[03]Opt out

Open any GLASS page with ?notrack=1 on the end, or use the button below. Your browser then remembers it and sends nothing to Google Analytics or to our own events. Clearing site data resets it.
